Checking being conducted on interstate check posts at border of Punjab, HP to prevent criminal incidents: SSP Gulneet Singh Khurana

On the instructions of Chief Minister Punjab Mr. Bhagwant Singh Mann and DGP Mr.Gaurav Yadav, checking of vehicles have been conducted on inter-state check posts at the border of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh state to prevent criminal incidents under Operation SEAL-5.On this occasion, SSP Rupnagar IPS Gulneet Singh Khurana while talking to the media said that under Operation SEAL-5, such inter-state check posts have been placed at different 7 venues in the district adjacent to Himachal Pradesh so as to prevent criminal activities at all levels.He further said that the main objective of this checking is to create a comfortable environment for the common people as well as to build up right thinking and constructive faith among the people which also prove helpful to control the mischievous elements of both states.Keeping this in mind every vehicle is being checked strictly.He said that during this checking, vehicles were also checked with technical equipment. Apart from this, the challans have been issued to those violating the traffic rules.On this occasion SP Mr. Tarun Ratan, DSP Mr. Tarlochan Singh, DSP Mr. Gurmeet Singh, SHO Mr. Rohit Sharma and other senior officers of the police department were present.
