Sewa Kendra will open on Saturday and Sunday from April 7: Deputy Commissioner Preeti Yadav

With a view to provide quality facilities to the general public at Sewa Kendras, working hours of Sewa Kendras have been changed from April 7.
Disclosing this here today Deputy Commissioner said that now services would be provided to the general public from Monday to Friday during 8 am to 6 pm and Similarly on Saturday and Sunday the service centers will also be open from 10 am to 4 pm. 
Mrs. Preeti Yadav informed that a total of 23 Sewa Kendras are functioning in District Rupnagar, out of which there are 09 Sewa Kendras at Tehsil level and 14 Sewa Kendras in villages. More than 375 services of 24 departments are being provided by these service centers.
In this regard the Deputy Commissioner further said that these service centers were proving to be helpful in providing better administrative facilities to the people. Working people are often demanding that service centers be open on Saturdays and Sundays as well, as they have to take off for their work. This historic decision has been taken keeping in view the plight of the common man so that every section can get the benefit of facilities.
